Plants have a notably more complex life than animals. They can't escape from excessive light, hide from predators, or wear a coat in cold temperatures. Their environment is in a constant state of CHANGE, and they must adapt to it. Some protective mechanisms are common to all plants, but others have developed their own unique strategies to increase their chances of survival. Our biophysicists from the Department of Physics, Faculty of Science, University of Ostrava, will introduce you to some interesting facts from the plant world.
