At the Institute of Physics (FZU) we focus on basic and applied research in the field of physics. Our mission is to understand and explain the basic phenomena and processes of our world and to respond to current scientific and technical challenges of today's society. Over 700 scientists from all over the Czech Republic and around the world research and develop new methods in various fields of physics - from cosmology and particle physics, through laser and plasma physics, to crystallography, biophysics and the development of new materials and other fields.
