Lecture

This lecture will take the audience on an amazing journey, during which the wild wolf gradually turned into man's faithful and best friend. We will talk about the changes in behavior and characteristics that occurred over the course of more than forty thousand years, when wolves gradually adapted to life with humans. About how the strong emotional bond we share with dogs today came about, and how this relationship shaped dogs themselves, humans and the entire human civilization. About how out of all the relationships between man and animal, the one with a dog is quite special. Together, we will follow through history and science the complicated path of evolution and adaptation to the coexistence of man and dog, during which one of the oldest and most valuable friendships in the history of mankind was created.

The lecture lasts about 30 minutes.

In order to go to the lecture, you need to wait in front of the A UCT Prague building (Technická 5) for a guide who will take you to the appropriate auditorium. You will not be admitted to the lecture without a guide.

The lecture will be open 3 times for 30 minutes (5:30 p.m., 7:00 p.m., 8:30 p.m.) without booking seats in advance and it is led by Robert Goldwein from the Rescue Brigade of cynologists in Prague.
