Wood can be processed mechanically, thermally, chemically, or bio-technically. The newspaper introduces the reader in a popular educational way to the production and properties of bioethanol, pulp and paper, activated carbon, natural rubber, transparent wood, celluloid (films, toys), nitrocellulose (explosives), acetate and viscose textile fibers, microcrystalline cellulose used in the food industry or pharmaceuticals, nanocellulose with exceptional strength properties and last but not least with waste lignin processing products (glue additives, anticarcinogenic preparations, etc.)
